AACL has been awarded a subcontract from Leidos supporting the reliability engineering program for the Army’s Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E) program. AACL will be developing the Reliability Program Plan, establishing and supporting the Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), and supporting other reliability engineering related systems engineering functions.

The single award, five year, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract awarded to Leidos, announced on November 5th 2015, is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award worth up to $661.8 million. The Leidos team will be handling various upgrade work for the Army’s Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E) fleet — including design, engineering, technical and logistics support. The ARL-E program is a manned, multiple intelligence (multi-INT) airborne platform that provides a persistent capability to detect, locate, classify/identify and track surface targets in day/night, near-all-weather conditions with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy. The first task order under the IDIQ will provide the System of Systems (SoS) integration of an extensible Mission Equipment Payload (MEP), including the modification of Bombardier DHC-8 aircraft. Supporting Leidos are a capable team of industry leaders including Sierra Nevada Corporation, Argon ST (a Boeing Company) and L-3 ComCept.
